If You Could Come to Me For Once

Poem by: Mahadevi Verma
Original Poem: जो तुम आ जाते एक बार
Translated by: Pankaj Sharma

Bountiful compassion, plenty messages
Would cover the path as pollens.
Every heartbeat would sing for you
the joyful and love-filled tunes.

The tear would clear the course
If you could come to me for once.

The teary eyes would glow with glee
The lips would be free of bane.
The life would be on spring’s spree
It would the end the long-cherished pain.

The eyes would shower all love at once
If you could come to me for once.
