Bailey Makes His Way to Dhoni’s RPS

Twitter is abuzz with the news of George Bailey signing with Rising Pune Supergiants, which till now was not able to rise due to the absence of power hitters, with injury of some good players further adding to the pain. For Bailey, who will be playing his third IPL, it’s a better-late-than-never opportunity as he was not picked up by any first franchisee in the initial rounds of auctions.

Before leading Kings XI Punjab in 2015 edition, he had played his first IPL season for Chennai  Super Kings so we can assume Dhoni might have suggested his name to fill the berth left vacant by injured Faf du Plessis who joined the list of injured players with Kevin Peterson and Mitchell Marsh.

The exclusion of George Bailey, who had listed his base price as Rs 1 crore (USD 148,000 approx), from this year’s IPL has come up as a surprise for many. But now as he takes his berth in struggling lot of RPS, it seems to be a good move and we can only hope it can bring some twist in the tale and help Dhoni dhurandhars regain their position they are known for.

Meanwhile see what Twitterati thinks of his inclusion in the team.
