Book Review: Everyone Has a Story, debut novel by Savi Sharma

The novel has its moments that evoke all possible emotions that a read can expect from a book. The problem is it lacks the consistency with those moments.

Everyone Has a  Story is the debut novel by Savi Sharma who has already become a bestselling novelist. The instant popularity of the book, which took just 100 days to hit six-digit sales figure, made me to read it. Here is my honest take on the book. Remember, I am not a critic. I am just an avid reader who shares his experiences rather than doing a post-mortem. You might agree or disagree (as it happens in most times) to my views.

Book Review: This is not your story

Everyone Has a Story tells the tale of a Meera, a young girl who is desperately hunting for a story, before she meets Vivaan, a young successful banker. Vivaan, on the other hand, nurtures a hope to accomplish a secret desire. In this maze of relationships, a coffee shop manager Kabir and Nisha have their different worlds.

It is an interesting read, which in-layers reveals the aspirations and attractions of its central characters. Though I am not going to say anything about the story, I can recommend the book as a simple take of life.

Everyone Has a Story by Savi Sharma, however, offers nothing new. It is one of those random stories that we have reading for quite a while now, but we still read them. What I liked about the story is how it is told, which keeps you hooked despite of its flaws. And, the good thing is you finish this book, some may wonder, though, why?

Kidding…The novel has its moments that evoke all possible emotions that a read can expect from a book. The problem is it lacks the consistency with those moments. There are some books that you can relate to while there are books that are overwhelming despite being unrealistic. Everyone Has a Story is somewhere in between the two. Therefore, you will end up somewhat liking this book but will not still find it worth reading.

My suggestion, if you are somebody like me who read it for all the hype the selling figures created, you can give it a miss without regretting. Else, you can find your answers like I did. If you are thinking of ordering it, you can click the link for the same.

Happy Reading!
