As expected, Dhoom dhoomed its way to making history.
Banking on three Ks – Khan, Kat and Khandaan (Yashraj Banner), Dhoom 3 has already become the biggest opener on a non-holiday collecting around Rs. 30 crore.
Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama tweets, “#Dhoom3 emerges the BIGGEST non-holiday opener ever. Collects Rs. 30 cr+ [early est] on Friday. Hindi version only. Dhoom macha diya indeed!”
The third in the Dhoom series, Dhoom 3 has much more than bikes, babes and ballistic action. With Aamir Khan playing the charming ‘chor’, Kat adding the glam quotient, and of course Junior B and Junior Chopra carrying the legacy forward, Dhoom is set to sizzle on the screen.
The reviews are mostly positive, which will fuel the ‘most-awaited’ wave, pulling the crowd to movie halls – both single screen and multiplexes.
The Times of India gives 4 stars to movie. The newspaper recommends the movie saying, “And the third Dhoom 3’s story with a twist wrapped around it, like the ribbon around a Christmas gift. Merrily unwrap – flying out of the Great Indian Circus, Dhoom 3 is great fun.

Seeing the hype and excitement for the movie, the 200-crore mark appears obvious while the new 300-crore benchmark is on the cards.
It’s interesting to see how the movie fares over the weekend and in the weeks to follow.
